| Shannon Carcelli GVPT457 Expecting an A- admin 05/17/2025 | I really enjoyed Professor Carcelli's section of GVPT457, and was disappointed when she had to step away from teaching the course in the second half of the semester. Lectures were very interesting, and class was very engaging. The midterm is definitely quite a bit of information to study for, but outside of that, no complaints. The second half of the semester was led by graduate students and TAs. They did a fantastic job keeping the course going in Professor Carcelli's absence. |
| Shannon Carcelli GVPT457 Expecting an A+ admin 05/24/2023 | Loved this class. It is very engaging and I loved the way Prof Carcelli structured it; mostly discussion based and easy check in quizzes. She is very nice and knowledgable in the area as well. Mid term and final were a bit hefty grade-wise but completely manageable if you did the readings/paid attention in class. |
| Shannon Carcelli GVPT404 Expecting a B+ admin 05/12/2023 | Overall easy class. You only have to do 4 primary discussion posts and 4 responses all semester, and your only other hw assignments are typically just readings (she provides links, you don't need to buy textbook). Take home final exam, pretty open ended, and she is always willing to re explain something |
| Shannon Carcelli GVPT404 Expecting an A admin 10/27/2022 | Professor Carcelli is an amazing professor. She is very fair with grading and will always help you out if you are struggling with a concept. Her class is very discussion-driven and participation is graded, so do the readings and go to class, but the readings are never too long or complex. Overall I learned a lot in this class and Professor Carcelli makes the material very interesting. |
