| Elizabeth Chang ENGL398V Expecting a B+ admin 12/07/2024 | The professor truly cares about writing and improvement (especially active voice, she's very strict about that). However, there are at least 2-3 assignments each week, most of it feeling like busy work. Her expertise isn't environmental writing which kind of defeats the purpose of the course. Overall, the course was much more difficult than needed, and I wouldn't retake it with her if I had another chance. |
| Elizabeth Chang ENGL398V Expecting a B+ admin 10/28/2024 | She assigns a ridiculous amount of work a week (think: 3-4 submissions of varying difficulty a week) without a break. Mostly focuses on peer review during in-class time and has a confusing canvas page. She grades papers based on how much you changed from her suggested edits and peer review, not on the quality of work. The class does not focus on environmental writing but rather buzzfeed-esque articles masked as explainers and op-eds. Not an enjoyable class. She does seem kind though and is willing to take meetings or offer help. |
| Elizabeth Chang ENGL395 admin 04/15/2024 | Amazing Professor! Cares about overall improvement on writing. Gives wonderful and helpful feedback on assignments and make sures assignments are as relevant to the real world as much as possible. |
