| Maria Day-Marshall RDEV350 Expecting an A+ admin 12/23/2025 | If you have to take this course with Day-Marshall, go for it, but if not I wouldn't recommend. While it seems as though she's knowledgeable on the subject matter due to her past work experience she very rarely lectures and when she does, the over 2 hour class consists of her asking very open-ended questions the entire time. Almost the entire course is taught by guest lecturers which is interesting and definitely informative but does not speak to the quality of Day- Marshall as a professor. The first few weeks of class are relatively easy with weekly "memo" papers assigned. Then getting closer to the end of the semester you will start working on a final project which she breaks up into 4 pieces for you that can later be mostly combined into and around 25 25-page paper. Although the assigned readings don't feel necessary to do well in the class, they are the most beneficial base knowledge learning you will get out of this course. |
