05/08/2024		This class is a hidden gem!! Also, MAKE USE OF THIS PROFESSOR. She has connections literally everywhere and has so much experience with hiring and that sort of thing that just taking this half-semester course will set you apart whenever you apply for a job. This class forces you to perfect everything you have that's job-related or create it from scratch. Denny gives you so many tips and tricks for all of these and it makes it super easy to bolster up your job materials. Even if you think that you're stuff is set, believe me, it's not. She'll find something wrong with it and it will help you so much in the long run. Even though this class is tailored to journalism students, it's such a helpful class for anyone looking to make their profile stronger. Denny is also a professor that a lot of people go to for recommendation letters, so starting to get to know her now will benefit you in the future. She'll teach you the ins and outs and dos and don'ts of your resume, your cover letter, your social media, your portfolio, networking and so much more.
