This class was basically a semester-long, independent guided research project (which may have since been removed from the curriculum). His expectations are high, but are similar to what you can expect from an employer. He's very responsive to student concerns, and gives thoughtful feedback on assignments. Make sure you pay attention. It's a pet peeve of his when students are clacking away on their laptop when it's supposed to be a class discussion, and rightly so. Be courteous, honest if you screw up (trust me, it's better), and stay on top of things (which isn't hard to do), and you'll have a great experience. |

It was not manually verified and may not follow our review standards. | Hasan's a good enough professor. He's very involved in his students' work and progress. He puts an emphasis on presentation of work, which is good for those who enjoy public speaking and dislike writing. However, during the project class I took with him, he was vague on criteria for assignments, he added some distracting auxiliary activities that didn't contribute to the project, and he tended to talk about decisions he'd made as if they were the results of consensus. |
