Expecting an A+

01/25/2026		Dr. Beka is a wonderful professor! He's very welcoming in class and in office hours, and from what I saw, he was very nice to every student. There were two types of assignments, weekly reading responses (250-500 words) and the final paper (1500-3000 words), which were all manageable because there was ample time to complete them and Dr. Beka allows a lot of creative freedom. There was also a participation grade. In my opinion, he's a very generous grader. There were a lot of readings (2-3 scholarly papers each week), which were at times repetitive or mundane, but he tried to incorporate other materials, like podcasts, movie/tv clips, and music videos. I really enjoyed my time in this class and would recommend any class with him.
