01/12/2023		I had this professor for both BUFN640 and BUFN650. The two courses focus on different types of regressions/machine learning techniques and how you can apply them to finance. Both classes are formatted the same where grades are determined by 2 homework assignments, a final project, a final exam and participation. Dr. Kozak does a great job explaining concepts and gives example code which almost directly aligns with what is asked in the homework and final project. For participation you just have to do 2 discussion board posts a week. Finally he gives a practice final which is very similar to the final exam. Overall this professor is great and as long as you try and do the work that is asked you can get an A. Also a final note is if you review some basic statistics and practice coding in python prior to the class starting it will give you massive head start.

01/03/2023		Very smart and excellent professor. In both courses (BUFN640 & BUFN650), he will explain the topics via recorded videos. These videos do a great job in explaining the concepts. Some of the concepts are difficult to grasp, make sure to ask in the break-out sessions. His assignments are long, and you should start them early on. He grades leniently, but your final grade will be based in relation to the class performance.
