There were many new ideas and terms that I learned throughout the semester. The reading was overall pretty heavy and sometimes difficult. Being in class and participating was key, and it was not an easy course. However, I have never had a professor challenge me to write with as much clarity and meaning as professor Lindemann did. She was also very accessible to help with any questions or concerns. Bottom line: challenging yet rewarding, don't take this course if you don't want to push yourself.

If you really like to analyze novels and various short stories and poems then get ready for this course. This semester the TA's sucked and I would just be prepared to buy like 8 novels and english majors this is the class for you...also lesbianism is very important in this class because the professor is one...so know your background information!!!
