Expecting an A

01/22/2026		I’m surprised no one’s given her a review yet, so I’ll be the first. Easy 5/5 stars. Dr. Moreno was my study abroad faculty leader for a winter trip to Puerto Rico. While the trip was only 10 days, it was an action-packed 10 days. Her activities planned were very engaging, and related very well to the reason many of us decided to come (focus on colonialism and healthcare). She is a chill grader, but her feedback is thoughtful and makes you think about Puerto Rico in a different way. Dr. Moreno also did an excellent job at leveraging her connections in Puerto Rico (her native land), even introducing us to her family and friends - the hospitality there was at a whole different level. Also, many of us did not speak Spanish well, so she stepped in and interpreted when needed. Overall, an amazing professor and a gem at UMD.
