| Emily Neer EDHD200 Expecting an A+ admin 01/17/2026 | Dr. Neer was super kind and a great lecturer, she also gives a lot of extra credit so its very difficult to get below an A. The course content is also pretty interesting. The only small criticism I had about the class was that in group-work others often weren't super engaged, which kind of discouraged participation. Not really her fault though, its an intro course so you don't really need to put too much effort. I would definitely take the class with her if you can |
| Emily Neer EDHD200 Expecting an A+ admin 12/16/2025 | She is the sweetest ever. She is also a very good professor. Her slides are clear, she is organized, and her due dates match the syllabus. She is actually so nice and wants to do well!! |
| Emily Neer EDHD200 Expecting an A- admin 11/18/2025 | Literally the nicest and best teacher I've had so far. She cares so much and is a very reasonable grader. Even gives snacks sometimes. SO SO amazing. Take this class. |
| Emily Neer EDHD231 Expecting an A+ admin 10/23/2025 | Hands down the best professor. Class is very chill, no midterm, but you also come away from each class feeling like you learned a lot. The information taught is not hard and its stuff you easily remember because of how she teachers. She's really helpful with dates of assignments if something happens and her lectures are not complex. Her slides are very easy to read as well. TAKE HER. I had her for 200 as well and its the same situation but there is just a midterm, its open note |
| Emily Neer EDHD200 Expecting an A+ admin 05/13/2025 | Such a wonderful professor! Her classroom environment was so kind and welcoming. The workload was very manageable, lots of opportunities for extra credit and asking for help. No final exam, just a straightforward final paper and short open-note quizzes throughout the semester. One of the nicest professors I've ever had, strongly recommend taking her :) |
| Emily Neer EDHD200 Expecting an A+ admin 04/21/2025 | Dr. Neer is amazing!!! She's incredibly sweet and very understanding. She posts lecture slides and recordings of the lectures with closed captions. The slides are vague, but if you watch the lecture videos/attend lecture its very easy to fill in the gaps. A majority of the grade is based on weekly reflections on the material, but it's very informal and pretty simple. She is very easy to talk to about anything and everything, and is very receptive to feedback. She did say the structure of the course is going to change, but I think no matter what if she's teaching it, it will go well. She also makes it very easy to meet with her. Prob one of best professors I've had here :) |
| Emily Neer EDHD320 Expecting an A admin 04/10/2025 | She is a new professor but she is so unbelievably sweet. She posts her slides before class and records her lectures with closed captioning. For this course the midterm is a simple template infographic that we will use for the final project. She does take attendance for participation, but you have 2 free classes to skip with no penalty. She really is just a kind person. She sends out announcements for the umd farmers market and for mental support dogs. Overall, I really like her and she is a great professor. |
