| Kerishma Panigrahi ENGL294 admin 12/26/2025 | Very nice and understanding professor; ENGL294 with her was basically just chill discussions and most of the readings were fairly interesting. The final project was a bit much compared to the workload for the rest of the course (which was pretty minimal). Seems like she had a rough semester (got sick and had to take care of others a lot) so she cancelled class pretty often and took a while to grade things. I am not sure if she regularly takes over 2 months to grade an essay or if it was a matter of her circumstances. Either way, she is worth taking, but I wouldn't expect quick grading. |
| Kerishma Panigrahi ENGL294 Expecting a B+ admin 12/16/2025 | Dr. P is a very nice person who truly wants to help you improve on your writing. However, I personally do not like her grading system of "Complete," "Needs Improvement," and "Incomplete." Overall, her grading is a bit on the tougher side, but she is fair with the feedback she gives. Also, I think that there was just too many readings for a 200 level course. There were also a lot of in-class writing assignments that basically forced you to read all of them, as she assigned the in-class writings at random, so if you did not read them, you were basically screwed. The in-class writings do count as participation, and she drops the one that you scored the lowest on, so there is that. |
| Kerishma Panigrahi ENGL294 Expecting an A+ admin 12/13/2025 | She's nice and a pretty good grader! She hadn't taught this course before, and I do think there were quite a bit of readings and random before-class writing assignments based on them, but otherwise I liked that this was a class I didn't have to stress too much about. |
| Kerishma Panigrahi ENGL265 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/12/2021 This review was submitted while most classes were online during the COVID-19 pandemic. It may not be indicative of a regular semester. | The texts Kerishma picks out are really good if you are already interested in the subject matter, which I was. She is a pretty average grader, not too harsh, and she provides plenty of extra credit opportunities. There is one big 5 page essay, a short 2 page one, and an option for another big essay or a creative project for the final. There is no midterm or test final, at least for this semester. Overall, I loved having her teach! |
| Kerishma Panigrahi ENGL101 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/18/2018 | She's very nice. A little tough of a grader at the beginning of the semester, but truly wants to help you improve your writing. Show up to class, its engl101 so yes it may be a bit boring sometimes, but worth going to build a good relationship with her. |
