01/20/2023		Nice teacher, fosters good discussion and keeps things interesting. The course was quite broad but he managed to teach it in good time with a clear progression. Wider reading could be supplied, felt a bit like there wasn’t enough content at times to draw from in essays, but that’s just my opinion. All over great teacher and an interesting course.

01/07/2023		Professor Raianu is a wonderful professor who is very understanding and knowledgable about the course's topics. Assignments consist of a small map quiz, 2 take-home exams (you can choose out of 3 throughout the semester), and a film analysis paper. Professor Raianu is a fair (but not necessarily easy) grader and is flexible with due dates if you email him about it beforehand. Participation is also very important, but you can gain participation points through ELMS without going to class (but in-class discussions are pretty fun too), and lectures are all on ELMS as well. The course material was very interesting and definitely recommend taking it with Professor Raianu!

12/12/2019		Class work is a bit much and participation is important. Lectures are okay, but not great. Fair on grading, but not easy. 3 written take home exams and one final film review are the big grades.

09/11/2019		Mircea is an engaging lecturer who really tries to make his class informative without being overwhelming. He's also a fair grader and does a great job of fostering discussion and encouraging questions in class.
