| Leisa Schwab PHIL261 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/20/2022 | Coming from someone who is not a philosophy or environmental science major, I found phil261 to be interesting enough to keep me engaged. Lectures were engaging but I did not find them as helpful as I would have hoped for. Discussion sections were led by a TA (the professors husband who has a phd in philosophy) and were actually helpful because we would go over the main points from each reading. There were 1 question reading quizzes before each class that were super easy as well as weekly discussion boards. The midterm and final were both online and open note but were graded harshly. Papers were also graded on the more critical side but were manageable. This is the only philosophy class I will ever take but I'm glad I took it and would not discourage anyone from taking it. |
| Leisa Schwab PHIL347 Expecting an A+ admin 05/11/2021 This review was submitted while most classes were online during the COVID-19 pandemic. It may not be indicative of a regular semester. | The class is interesting, and Leisa is very accessible, as well as knowledgeable on the topic. Highly recommend. |
