He even offered extra credit, which turned out to be the difference in my getting an A over a B. The midterm and final were both pretty difficult, but if you do the extra credit and focus on the papers, you should do fine. |
| Donald Sutherland Expecting an A admin 12/18/2010 This review was automatically imported from OurUMD. It was not manually verified and may not follow our review standards. | He was a fair grader. Not many grades or assignments in the class, so not much work involved. His class isn't too exciting, but if you like the subject it shouldn't be hard paying attention. |

It was not manually verified and may not follow our review standards. | I didn't like this professor at all really. We had basically two papers, a midterm, and a final. The papers are the only assignments so that would most likely determine your grade for this course. The papers are worth a lot of points so turn them in on time and well done. He's very serious about plagiarism and he said he was good at finding it so beware. Some people plagiarized in his class and either had a choice of taking an F for the paper which was worth a lot of points or he would turn them in into the honor council. NO REWRITE if you were found plagiarizing. Beware.... especially if you like to procrastinate a paper last minute. His teaching style is like my grandfather telling me some war stories. He rarely ever put anything on the board. I would not recommend him at all. Don't take him if you don't have to. I wish I dropped the course in the first few days of class.WORD OF ADVICE: Don't take this course because its only twice a week, big mistake I'm sure you will regret because he is boring and horrible. |
