| Tianchen Zhao BMGT446 Expecting an A admin 01/19/2026 | Hugo is a great guy, very knowledgeable and super fun to talk to. I find his lectures interesting, and he’s always willing to help his students. He also gave practice midterms that are very similar to the actual midterm questions, which makes the review process much less stressful. It’s not hard at all to do well in this class if you pay attention and put in some effort. |
| Tianchen Zhao BMGT446 Expecting an A- admin 01/18/2026 | I’m not sure what the previous review is about. Professor Zhao is kind, an excellent teacher, and very supportive of his students. I don’t think scheduling the midterm before Thanksgiving is an issue—there’s a reasonable amount of material covered between the first and second midterms to prepare for, and I personally prefer taking it before the break rather than after. He explains concepts clearly, walks through his reasoning in detail, and consistently takes time and effort to help students understand the material. He’s also a very fair grader. Overall, I learned a lot in this class because of him, and I would highly recommend taking the course with Professor Zhao. |

| Tianchen Zhao BMGT446 admin 12/16/2025 | Definitely a chill & friendly young guy, but there are definitely some glaring issues in taking a class with him. First of all, scheduling a midterm on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving is criminal. Many students travel for this break, so forcing them to stay while all other classes are cancelled for the week is unfair. PLUS, he didn't even show up to proctor the midterm- he was probably enjoying his break while we all had to stay. His lectures are also quite sloppy, as it's often difficult to follow his speech (he sort of speaks in fragments rather than complete thoughts). Other than that, the class is pretty normal, exams are sorta tough but not crazy. |
