| Mengqiang Zhu admin 05/22/2025 | Dr.Zhu is an incredibly nice professor; he is so nice and understanding, so if you couldn't do an assignment on time, he gives you an extension. He drops 3 of your lowest quizzes, and the assignments are so easy. His exams are super easy as well, it's open notes and an open textbook. I SUPER recommend him for a gen-ed science class. |
| Mengqiang Zhu GEOL444 Expecting a B+ admin 12/04/2024 | He was a fairly good lecturer, but often did not post inclass activities on ELMS and some assignments were unreasonably hard. I know many people who struggled in this class. Its a fairly high workload, but as long as you stay on top of it, it's fine. Also - the lab is not an actual lab, rather just working on paper assignments. |
| Mengqiang Zhu GEOL100 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/11/2024 | This class is inherently easy, and checks off a gen ed requirement, which is why I took it. The homework takes less than an hour per week, which is pretty reasonable. The lectures are very boring and it is hard to pay attention. Because all of the exams are online, the class is relatively easy. I would recommend it if you need it for a gen ed. |
| Mengqiang Zhu GEOL100 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/02/2024 | Professor Zhu is amazing! His lectures are simple but informative, he is happy to engage with students and will answer any questions, he always makes sure to give in-depth explanations to any topic he sees students confused by, and he is a very down-to-Earth professor. The workload in the class is small, and the tests are pretty easy as long as you pay attention in class (he always makes sure to post a practice midterm the week before too). I had a great time in his class, and would recommend him to anyone who has to take GEOL100! |
