Selected Topics in Biology; Scholarly Communication and Public Engagement

Restriction: Minimum of 60 credits completed. Advanced students will gain awareness, knowledge, and practical skills in fundamental concepts of science communication, science policy, and public engagement. Course content is broadly relevant and will provide insights on skills and techniques for engaging in these areas, and networking opportunities for students planning a scientific career in academia, public service, non-profits, or industry where public speaking, contributing scientific expertise and working with stakeholder groups isin demand. Credits may not be applied to any Biological Sciences major.
