Considers the literature and film produced by Maghrebi women from the 1970s to the present focusing in particular on how women's rebellious, subversive, and revolutionary voices have challeneged patriarchy and the status quo in the postcolonial Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia). Taught in French.
