Local Politics and Government

Prerequisite: GVPT170. Restriction: Must be in Government & Politics program; or must be in Government & Politics: International Relations program. Credit only granted for: GVPT461 or GVPT479L. Formerly: GVPT479L. An introduction to local government and politics in the U.S. context. The course explores the evolution of local jurisdictions, particularly cities, and the politics of local level decision making.
