Special Topics in History; American Baseball History

Surveys the major problems of U.S. history from the late Antebellum period to the present using baseball as a lens. We will examine baseball's role in the development of American identity, class struggle, labor organization, immigrant experiences, gender roles, racial segregation, and social/political movements.
