Special Topics in Information Studies; Digital Activism
Teaches students about the use of digital methods and technology as tools for education and advocacy. Students will learn about social justice topics including racial equity, digital feminism, disability justice, queer rights, and health disparities, along with ways digital activists use technology to address them. The course will result in digital projects such as social media campaigns, podcasts, or apps that are accessible to the public and address a social justice issue.
