He focuses more on the political and ideological changes that occur more than on actual events. He also focuses heavily on slavery since that seems to be what he specializes in. The class itself is reasonable, without too much work, but grades really do depend on the TA. |

Knows history. Class is a bit hard to get an A. Bs shouldn't be too tough. Really depends on your TA. They determine what grade you get. All tests are short answers and one long essay. I wrote a 6 page highly detailed essay and got an A- on an exam. My friend with another TA wrote a 3 page essay that didnt really answer the question(she admits this) and got an A- also. Her TA was very lenient. |

You do not need to read that much and you do not need to memorize any facts. There is a good amount of writing but its not too bad. |
