Michael Evans GEOL100 Expecting a B+ admin 12/19/2025	It's a super boring class. I was looking for an easy A; I didn't get an A, so infer further from that. The final was 92 questions in 2 hours, for most of the questions you need to analyze images, rocks, data, etc, it takes time, and having only 2 hours was hell. I didn't even have time to review. its 4 exams total, including finals, he drops your lowest exam, excluding finals. It didn't do much for my grade, honestly. So, if you are looking for an easy A, take this one at your own risk.
Michael Evans GEOL100 Expecting a B+ admin 12/07/2025	Class is boring asf, clicker questions are random, and the exam material is all over the place.
Michael Evans AOSC123 Expecting an A admin 05/11/2025	Professor Mike is pretty laid back and clearly very enthusiastic about climate science, which I respect. I find his lectures more engaging than most, but still nothing special. He does do clicker questions in lecture which can not be made up, or as far as I am aware, even excused with medical excuses, because they are "such a small part of your grade." This was a little annoying, as I missed a lot of class this semester (medically excused). As for AOSC123 specifically, it seems he goes out of his way to make this course as easy and passable as possible, with online exams, minimal homework, and pretty lax grading.
Michael Evans GEOL437 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 11/20/2018	He is very average. A bit boring even though he tries to be exciting but he is very helpful and willing to spent time working with you until you understand a concept. He is also really nice but the class itself was not particularly enjoyable.

So signed up for this class cuz it looked like I'd get a better understanding of climate, yet it really seems like he expects you to already know the terminology, and how things work prior to coming to the class... VERY hard if you have zero understanding, probably VERY easy if you know the topic, but this should be a teaching class for an intro course not an affirmation of prior knowledge. Sad cause it looked like it would be good.
