Open Seminar; Religion, Love, and Politics in the Spanish Baroque

Restricted to SPAP graduate students or by permission of instructor only. This course is a panoramic survey on Spanish Baroque prose texts. We will study the images, ideas and beliefs, and the fictional and rhetorical strategies of political, religious and love texts of various genres: religious treatise; moral fantasy; picaresque novel; political treatise.
